TREND CHECK - VESSEL SINKS |

|
PCG FACTOID #3: Vessel sinks that sit on top of the vanity rather than being built into the vanity are feature items in bath showrooms. A broad array of styles are now available to blend into any decor. These sinks are made of a wide variety of materials such as glass, marble, wood, bronze and copper. How do you feel about this trend? |

PCG COMMENTS:
Vessel sinks are extremely popular... at trade shows, in magazines
and in upscale bath showrooms. Our view is that they are 'chill' for
certain baths such as high profile half baths and those in uppity
restaurants. We understand a new model made of hand split popsicle
sticks is forthcoming... Ok, would you believe rosewood from the
rainforests of South America? Seriously, these sinks do make a
fashion statement but it will be a rather long while before
consumers adopt them on a large scale. Familiarity, desirability and
ownership are on a gentle incline at present. |
